Add a new product

There are two things you need to do if you have a new pottery product you want to list to sell under available now.

Add the product to the site
  • Open the Store drop-down
  • Choose Products > + Add product
  • Fill in the general product details, including:
    • Product name: What the product is called
    • Description: Tell customers about the product
    • Upload image: Photo of the product
    • Price: How much product costs
    • Inventory: Quantity of product available to purchase
    • Leave all other fields untouched
  • Scroll down and click Save

List the product on the homepage
  • Open Pages > Home
  • Scroll down to the product gallery > Click on it
  • Choose products > Add existing products
  • Select the product you just added to the site > Add

Move a product to archive

There are three things you need to do if you have sold a product and want to move it to the pottery archive.

Add a sold label to the product
  • Open the Store drop-down
  • Choose Products
  • Click on the product name to edit it
  • Switch to the Advanced tab
  • Ensure Product label is enabled
  • Type the word Sold into the Label text field - if a label already exists, overwrite it
  • Scroll down and click Save

Add the product to the archive page
  • Open Pages > Archives
  • Click on the product gallery
  • Choose products > Add existing products
  • Select the product you just labelled as sold > Add

Remove the product from the homepage
  • Open Pages > Home
  • Scroll down to the product gallery > Click on it
  • Choose products
  • Look for the sold product you want to remove
  • Select the Remove product from gallery button (x icon)
  • Click Save
